Important information about the risks of cryptocurrency trading
1. Risk Disclosure
Trading and investing in digital assets involves significant risk. By using Cointivo’s services, you acknowledge that digital asset markets are highly volatile and that you may lose part or all of your assets.
This Risk Disclosure is designed to provide general information about the risks associated with cryptocurrency trading. It is not an exhaustive list of all possible risks, including, but not limited to, risks related to market conditions, technology, regulation, and user actions.
2. No Investment Advice
Cointivo does not provide investment, financial, legal, or tax advice.
Any information provided through the platform is for informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for determining whether any trade, investment strategy, or transaction is appropriate for you based on your personal financial circumstances and risk tolerance.
3. Market Risk
Digital asset prices are highly volatile and may fluctuate significantly within short periods of time.
You may experience substantial losses, including, but not limited to, losses caused by sudden price movements, market manipulation, liquidity shortages, or unexpected market events.
Past performance of any asset does not guarantee future performance.
4. Liquidity Risk
Some digital assets may have limited liquidity. This means it may become difficult or impossible to sell or exit a position at your desired price.
During periods of extreme volatility, trading activity may slow or markets may become temporarily illiquid.
5. Technology and Infrastructure Risk
Digital assets rely on blockchain technology, distributed networks, and cryptographic protocols.
Risks may arise from technological failures including, but not limited to, software bugs, protocol vulnerabilities, network congestion, blockchain forks, smart contract exploits, hacking incidents, and other unforeseen technical issues.
6. Security Risks
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, private devices, and access methods.
Risks include, but are not limited to, phishing attacks, malware, unauthorized access, social engineering, compromised devices, or loss of authentication credentials.
Transactions involving digital assets are generally irreversible. If assets are sent to the wrong address or stolen through unauthorized access, recovery may not be possible.
7. Platform Availability Risk
Cointivo services may experience interruptions or delays due to maintenance, infrastructure failures, network congestion, or other operational factors, including, but not limited to, system upgrades, unexpected outages, or force majeure events.
During such periods it may not be possible to deposit, trade, or withdraw assets.
8. Digital Asset Project Risks
Digital assets are issued and maintained by independent projects and protocols.
Risks associated with these projects may include, but are not limited to, project abandonment, governance disputes, protocol failures, security vulnerabilities, token supply manipulation, or regulatory enforcement actions.
In certain cases, digital assets may be delisted from the platform due to risk assessments, legal considerations, or project-related developments.
9. Regulatory and Legal Risk
The regulatory status of digital assets varies across jurisdictions and may change at any time.
Changes in laws, regulations, enforcement actions, or government policies may impact the availability of certain assets or services, including, but not limited to, trading restrictions, asset freezes, or platform limitations.
10. User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for understanding the risks associated with digital asset trading and for ensuring that your activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
You should only trade or invest funds that you can afford to lose.
11. Non-Exhaustive Risk List
