Trading GuideHow to Create and Secure Your Cointivo Account
A step-by-step walkthrough of signing up, completing KYC verification, and locking down your account with 2FA and security best practices.
Step 1 — Sign Up
- Go to cointivo.com and click Sign Up.
- Enter your email address and choose a strong password (at least 12 characters, mix of letters, numbers, and symbols).
- Check your inbox for a verification email and click the confirmation link.
Step 2 — Complete Identity Verification (KYC)
Regulation requires us to verify who our users are. KYC takes under 5 minutes and unlocks higher deposit, withdrawal, and trading limits.
- Navigate to Account → Verification.
- Upload a government-issued photo ID (passport or national ID card).
- Complete the selfie liveness check.
- Most verifications are approved within minutes.
Step 3 — Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
2FA adds a second layer of security. Even if someone knows your password, they cannot access your account without the code from your phone.
- Go to Account → Security → Two-Factor Authentication.
- Download Google Authenticator or Authy on your phone.
- Scan the QR code displayed on screen.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app to confirm setup.
⚠️ Save the backup recovery codes shown during setup. If you lose your phone, these codes are the only way to regain access.
Step 4 — Set Up Withdrawal Whitelist
The withdrawal whitelist ensures crypto can only be sent to addresses you have pre-approved. Enable it under Account → Security → Withdrawal Addresses. New addresses require 24-hour confirmation — this stops an attacker from draining your account even if they compromise your login.
Security Best Practices
- Use a unique password for Cointivo — do not reuse passwords from other sites.
- Use a password manager (Bitwarden, 1Password) to generate and store strong passwords.
- Access Cointivo only from trusted devices and networks — avoid public Wi-Fi.
- Never click links in emails claiming to be from Cointivo — always type the URL directly.
- Check the URL bar: the real site is always cointivo.com.
